SADIE
just wanted to touch base with you and send some pics of sadie like i promised.  she still doesn't sit still very often but here are some action shots of our most recent trip to our farm.  there's 5 dogs all together in the pics- 2 are my sisters dogs and then my 3.

she has truly attached herself to me.  i thought she was going to side with my husband and though she enjoys rough housing with him she still would rather be with me.  we had a little bit of a tough time when i took her for her first grooming appt!!  she literally almost had a melt down.  i'm guessing because it was the first time she had seen a kennel since coming to live with us and she probably thought i was not coming back.  but we got through it and she was thrilled when i came back.  we also go to the dog park frequently where she has become a favorite.  she gets along great with almost any other dog we really haven't had a problem other then her pestering little dogs a little too much.  little dogs tend to not have a good sense of humor!!

anyway.... she has adjusted well i think and is enjoying life as she now knows it- i hope.  she does have a tremendous amount of energy and needs to have about an hour of off leash time a day either at the farm or the dog park or on a hike.  oh... and i forgot to mention her love of water!!  she can't get enough of it.  she swims in our little pond all the time and loves to go into the river.  she even fishes!!  hard to believe and i wasnt' sure i was seeing right when she first did it but she actually watches the fish and then will plunge her head into the water the will toss the fish up into the air!!!  its so funny.  she hasn't actually killed any i know of thank god!  she is very loyal and good with charlotte our daughter but maybe this fall i will enroll her in a basic obedience course - we are still working on some of the basics like sit, lay down and NO JUMPING!!! and maybe i could use some help- we'll see.  i hope you had an enjoyable summer and i'm so happy to have found sadie!  thanks again.  sincerely, erin
