Remi is doing very well, although if you asked her, she would be looking for ways to eliminate the resident cat, India. They tolerate one another, but since he's about twice her size, she might be a little intimidated.
Remi has laid claim to "her spot". She nests on a yellow grocery bag under which she buries the bird on a string that used to be India's favorite toy. He will have nothing to do with it any more. She also put a toy mouse in her nest. If I remove the bag, she finds another and sets up home again. I'm sure she has her reasons. Most of the day. she sits on the cat perch at my dining room window overlooking the birdfeeder in the back yard watching the sparrows, the squirrels playing tag in the tree, and the neighbors walking their dogs. Not such a bad life really.
Here she is in her nest looking at a fancy toy that interested her not at all.
Best wishes, Joanna
