Mikey is doing really well!  We love him.  We did change his name and now call him Oliver. 

He is doing really well here.  He sleeps well in his crate at night, as you suggested.  We have it in the kitchen. 

During the day, he loves to play and entertain us with his toys.

Last week we started installing an invisible fence, so that when we take him out back, he can run and play in the yard.  He does listen very well, too.  We have gates for in the house, but we've not really needed them.  He is so smart!

We love that he is a lap dog.  He is happy to sit in our laps when we are watching tv.

I took him to our vet last week and got an excellent report.  Dr. Randall said his leg has healed without any problem.  I have flea/tick medicine to put on him once a month (because we have a lot of deer in our area) and the vet also gave us heartgard to give him once a month.

It took Oliver about a week to feel really comfortable here.  And in the last week, he has started to really have fun.  We took him to Philadelphia this past weekend when we visited my son.  And I've taken him on two doggie play dates with my girlfriend's two dogs.  She has a yellow lab and a little white bichon.  Oliver had a fun time with them both.
