They are best friends and Susy just loves to go in the car with my Mom. She is taking her to the park almost every day. She has been walking her and for the first time since she moved in with us (3 years ago), she meeting and talking to the neighbors. It's amazing how a dog can bring out such friendliness in people.  The first few days, Susy had a few accidents in the house and we very lovingly told her that she needed to go outside and she has been great since. She loves the back yard and now that the ducks are coming in the yard to eat she enjoys barking at them and making sure they know this is her turf.
 
Susy sleeps with my mom and is such a lap dog. If I'm sitting on the couch she's right there with me, if my Mom is sitting in her chair in her room, she's up with her. She loves to be petted and we love to pet her.  She has been a wonderful addition to our home and our lives.
 
I hope you are well and are finding good homes for any dogs you may have in your shelter. I admire the work you do and I'm sure there's a special place in heaven for people who do what you do...
