Lola

HI All!
Lola was one of six puppies we helped a local resident find homes for.  Between the meet and greet at Peggy's house, and an adoption event (Animal Crackers) after that on the same day, 5 of the puppies were adopted.  Number six was adopted two weeks later when his family returned from a Florida vacation!

Dear FOLAS-

On March 3, 2007, my family and I adopted a poodle mix from Peggy M.'s home.  "Lola" is now 6 months old and everyone's most adored pet!  Our vet. couldn't believe what a fabulous dog we adopted, how healthy she is and what a lovely temperament she has.  She and our other dog, Sadie, are completely inseparable!  Sadie is our wonderful 9 year old yellow lab who essentially trained Lola, and who now has reconnected with her "inner puppy" since Lola arrived.  The two wrestle and play and eat and sleep and hunt and swim together all day (our home abuts a forest and a large lake).  It is a pure joy just to watch them together!  The dogs are also excellent with our kids and all visitors that come along.  Most have asked where we got such a great dog and if there are any more like her for them!  My husband, who was quite opposed to another dog at first, is beyond thrilled with her and can often be found rolling around on the floor with the two.  An added bonus, especially for my neat nick husband, is that she doesn't shed at all.  Recently, my father (who always had poodles until he retired about 15 years ago) and his wife have added an in-law apartment onto our house.

They have also fallen in love with Lola - my Dad keeps threatening to take her with him to Florida in the winter, but realizes he could never part Lola, Sadie, and the kids.  And of course, during most days when I am home alone with "my girls" they can be found right by my side no matter what room I'm in. I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with Lola, and that she is totally loved and cared for.  Two days ago, she was spayed (which sort of breaks my heart since the world would be a better place with more Lolas!)  I know there was some sort of money back when we had her spayed, but please put it toward something at FOLAS.

I hope all of the families of the poodle mix pups are also doing well, and as happy as we are.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
