I understand Scoote is a bit older then Julius, and that Julius has had the advantage of being around many cats as Scoote has not, but I wish she was more inviting to Julius then flat out noisy and hissy.  I suppose the good news is she isn’t batting and being forceful to him; rather acting those ways to keep him at bay. Julius seemed to be a bit worried/scared when we brought him home on Friday night and also throughout Saturday. He had a concerned look on his face, as if he was thinking “where is that crazy lady cat?!” Julius decided to make our basement, Tony’s “man cave”, Complete with leather couches, 2 ottomans, 1 over stuffed chair and a lovely entertainment center which Julius has made his jungle gym! We keep his food, water and a litter box in this “man cave” and there is heat as well as a carpet to keep it more “homey feeling”. I did purchase a dog bed (b/c he’s so big!!!) from Target, but he prefers the ottoman!!! Who knew?!

Tony and I would go downstairs every ½ hour or so and check up on him and also pet and play with our handsome kitty! We found he enjoys playing with plastic water bottle caps and string? I have a video on my cell phone!!!

When Julius has been staying in his “man cave”, Scoote has been her normal self ? Sleeping, walking around, acting as if Julius isn’t in the house anymore. But man - she goes NUTS when he’s a few feet away!  But I have to tell you, it’s more like she’s so curious about it rather then so afraid of him ? It’s so silly!

Funny story… on Sunday Julius decided he wanted to be with all of us. Jumping on everything, rubbing on everything, being super friendly and definitely looking for Scoote - His new buddy!!! She seemed to have hid herself pretty well that he lost interest in finding her until the night time.  I swear they didn’t sleep at all last night! They have these stand-off moments where she makes her noises and Julius just tilts his head and has this silly look on his face : ) Tony just called and said they are sleeping on our couch together! WOW! Who knew!?
