Izzy is a young (about 1 year old) gentle natured, friendly and lovable German Shepherd, but her story is a heartbreaking one. In early April, a wonderful couple saw her injured on the side of Rt. 1, and was kind enough to pull over and notify animal services. Despite her condition from an apparent hit and run, a high-spirited Izzy happily licked the hand of the man who stopped to help.
With no identifying tags or way to contact her
owner, poor Izzy waited for nearly a week with her leg broken in
multiple places until FOLAS was notified. She was immediately
taken in for medical care, and given the severity of her injury, her surgery
left FOLAS with quite a bill! UPDATE: Izzy has been
cleared by the vet, and she is now in her new
forever home.

Randi is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel with a very sweet and gentle personality. She has a mature cataract in one eye and a newer one in her other. Randi was seen by an eye specialist and if she doesn't have surgery to remove the cataracts she will be completely blind. If you would like to donate to help Randi get her surgery please come by or mail a donation to our shelter.

We affectionately call him “Pork Chop”,
because of the contour of the cast on We don't know how Pork Chop got his broken leg, but we do know how delicate kittens are and they should always be handled with care. They may look sturdy because of their rough and tumble play, but anything larger than another kitten, might do real damage that can last a lifetime or even cause a fatal injury. So, handle with care and don't squeeze them too tightly while you shower them with kisses!
