Subject: update Harley in the snow

We just found out that Harley loves snow!!! .  We couldn't keep him inside.
Him and his older brother played in it the whole time.  We had to force
them in to warm up here and there.  Harley is still learning how to catch
snowballs.  Maybe by the next snow fall he'll have it mastered?

Sorry it's taken us so long to get you updates on Harley.

It going great with him.  He now has his routines around the house and is
fitting in well.  His brother Meeko has gotten use to not being the only
dog in the house. We are still on the road with the cats licking him.  He
can't help him self with chasing them!  I do find the cats curiosity kicks
in, when Harley is sleeping they will come up to him and the chase begins.
I think he fakes sleeping sometimes?  He went to 6 weeks of obedience
school and did very good.  We had a confrontation with another dog that
scared me for a little while.  But with training and understanding of the
shepherd breed we have come a long way.  He loves going for long walks in
the woods and at the football fields that we practice at.

He's still a puppy and plays a little rough with us, but all in all he's
such a  gentleman.  We are working on the play bitting and playing fetch.
Once he has the toy he will not give it up with out a fight.  With all the
rain we've been getting he knows to stop when he comes in to towel dry.
Actually I think he loves it!  Every morning when making my coffee he goes
out side to do his thing (first chases the squirrels), comes in and goes
back to bed but in our bed with his daddy.

He's put on some much needed weight.  He's still got the "puppy skinny" but
not the skin and bones that he was.  When we first got him he would gobble
up his food.  Now he leaves some of his food for later. He doesn't like it when someone goes out in our back yard without him.  He feels that he should be with you.  He will sit there and wine and scratch at the door.  If you don't let him out he will go and steel things from rooms and he'll show who ever is inside.  We are trying to break him of this very bad habit.  I play with him to keep his mind off of it.  He's fine if we leave him home alone so it's just a bad trick he picked up.

When he is outback most of the time you can find him up in our golf cart.
He loves to go for rides in the golf cart.  It's the funniest thing seeing
him sitting so good while driving around in the neighborhood.  Our
neighbors all get a kick out of it.  He has made a lot of friends.  His
cousin Jack that lives next door.  He is always sitting by the gate waiting
to go over to see him.  He has a girlfriend April, our friends black lab
that he goes and sees and hangs out all the time too.

We have a great time and a lot of fun with him.  We couldn't ask for a
better dog.  We thank god every day for you guys to take the time to meet
with us and allowing us to take him.   Attached are some pictures of him at
some of his favorite places.
