I thought you might enjoy a pic of Zeltino Jude and "Zeno Ray" (formally Jasper) At first there was a lot of hissing from Zeno, but Zeltino once again broke in another "kid" to show him it's safe here. Zeltino's namesakes came up with "Zeno" after seeing his pic and wanted their names once again to be part of a Friends of Linden rescue cat. We came up with "Ray" for Rahway where he was from (Ra is one of our other "kids" middle names, so we decided on Ray) THANKS AGAIN! Heather |

Just wanted to send an update (and a donation, via mail) on Belle. Almost 8 years old now, she is still the energetic, mischievous, super- lovable dog we adopted six years ago. She wags her tail a mile a minute. We moved to Chicago last year and Belle adjusted to city living for a few months, until we bought a house in the suburbs. She has certainly travelled a long way, from New Orleans to NJ to Chicago! And we are still thankful every day to have her in our lives. We want to thank Kathy H., Grace, Lauren P., Chris M., Doris and Carla for helping with the fall cleanup of the outside of the shelter Saturday. It was a lot of work, but the leaves and weeds are gone and the outside of the shelter looks great! | |||||

You may not remember but I adopted Nellie about this time last year. I wanted to send you a recent picture so you can see that she is content. She is resting in her favorite spot on the back of a chair in the TV room. She is very attached to me and me to her. In the morning she will sit on the edge of the tub and wait for me to get out of the shower...Her favorite toys are giant rubber bands that you throw and she brings back. Her favorite treat is Greenies any flavor. She recently learned out to open up the cabinet where they are kept. I hope the pic opens for you. Please let her mom know that she is fine, Nicole |

Regarding the dynamic at home, it's a work in progress. The two cats are doing better than the first 2-3 days but they still need more time to adjust. The dog wants to go up to Sandi (even whines) but Sandi is not yet fully receptive to it. Does allow Bella to get about 2-3 feet from her though. Me and Kathleen love her though, she is very affectionate but has an attitude which we are working on. Paul more... |

Bouncer, who has been renamed Maxwell has seemed to double in size and personality. Sometimes I feel like I own a small dog instead of a cat. He follows both my boyfriend and I throughout our apartment. Although he is not a lap cat he is always near by. I couldn't ask for a better companion. Amos which we adopted this year has really come out of his shell. At the shelter he was very timid. Now that he has made himself at home he has become very playful. He bounces around the house full of energy. Although he has shown an increase of energy he is still a big mush. He can not get enough of being loved. I have never had a pet which enjoyed human affection as much as Amos. Our friends and family love coming over to enjoy the company of both of these guys. with the adoption of our new kitten Arizona!
We've decided to name her Neutrino (the
subatomic particle that is super fast, hard
to find, and very small) -- very fitting,
especially considering how extremely playful
and energetic she is. We've been having a
lot of fun getting to know her and playing
with her the last few days, so we just
wanted to give you a BIG thanks for helping
us out! Your advice and knowledge have

Precious has become settled in the condo and she should pay the mortgage! In the morning she has a lot of energy and runs and plays before I leave for work. In the evening she is still ready to play and I play with her for an hour or so. I am trying to adjust her behavior at night to sleep. I have a blanket and bought a bed for her to sleep in but she likes to run and play in my bedroom when I am ready to sleep. I tried putting her bed in the bedroom but she is up and ready to play more at bedtime. I eventually have to close my bedroom door and leave her to roam elsewhere. Vincent |

All is working out well. I took Buddy to
get his nails clipped at the new vet this week and he
loved the car ride. He and Oliver get along well.
Buddy is such a lovey dovey and sticks by my side all
the time. I had to fit him with a cat collar because
he's so small but the bell on the collar alerts me to
where he is. Aunt Norma bought him a harness which
works better, a soft blanket and plenty of treats |

We are all doing well and Raymond seems happy. The kids are so excited to get up in the morning and go play with Raymond before school. Raymond is gradually settling in to the house and exploring all the new space, although he likes to spend most of his time in the sun room, where we have placed a new cat tree condo for him. He was quite excited in the first few days and would not keep still for long, but now he is quite happy to sit on the sofa and watch TV with us. He has even turned out to be quite a lap cat and likes to wrap himself around my neck and give me lost of nudges. Karen |

As I previously mentioned, we kept his name Antonio cause we thought it was really cute and people find it so funny! I call him "Ant Ant" for short and he meows at me everytime I say it. Needless to say, we love him so very much. He is the perfect addition to our home! Our older cats don't care for him too much, but Ant seems to prefer people anyway. When I came home and up my driveway - I looked up and lounging in the window was Big Boy Percy. I guess he was taking in the neighborhood. He can also run -yesterday he had a short burst of exercise - he ran down the stairs and right past the dogs (who of course hopped up and followed him) so they ran around the dining room table and back up the stairs and then Percy went under the bed. He lounged there for awhile. I did bring him water right away and he wasn't too short of breath. PS: My dogs seem more interested in the weight management cat food than Percy. Kelly |

I just wanted to let you know we did rename JuJuBee and I think she is doing great. She doesn’t like the furniture at all, except the bed, but that works for us! John Adams is doing great. At first we were scared cause he didn't eat right away, but he is doing fine now (he even ate the dog food before lol). Things are going great. Mariell was pretty much running the apartment from the second day. I renamed her Mariella; close I know, but just different enough to be unique. She is eating, drinking and using her litter box. Mariella and Lucky mostly just ignore each other, though sometimes Lucky gets a bit of a head-butt when he starts sniffing too close. |

Rex is still Rex! 6 months was too long to change the name I thought, and I love the name anyway. He is getting along very well with Emma; Emma was a bit unhappy at first, but now she has really warmed up to him and they are getting along great. Their new thing is to play in the curtains of the window with each other (the same window sill that is in the picture). Rex is a bundle of energy and is certainly keeping Emma busy. Sport (formerly Taco) is doing very well and is loved a
lot. He is very friendly and always purrs. He loves to
sleep with us, which we enjoy. He has been good since
day 1 with the litter box. He also likes his food; he
gets 1 can of Fancy Feast, half in the morning and half
in the evening. Plus he gets dry food along with water,
which is left for him when he needs it. I'm attaching

We adopted Stout (Luke) in July of 2009! He just turned two and is happier then ever! We moved to Texas- and he has such a fun car ride down here! He now has a wonderful sister Amber. snowflake is still adjusting i just told my husband this morning that she is like a baby who has her nights and days mixed up cause she sleeps all day and roams the house all night playing with her toys sitting in my bedroom window watch what goes on outside she has tried to get in the bed with us a couple of times but in a few mins she leaves and goes back to her window i must say very nosey she is eating with no problem and drinking she cleans her bowl every morning she went to the litter box the 1st night here with no problems she is a joy to have around and the kids just love her | |||||

Jake is getting more comfortable all the time. I happened to have the camera handy at just the right time yesterday. Smokey claimed the prime spot in the bedroom window, but Jake wanted to watch the birds also and was trying to figure out whether he could fit as well. Neither of them seemed upset by the other's presence. |

Chaz and Camille’s progress, especially with our dog Dewey. I was so concerned about Camille adapting to Dewey...and now they are good buddies. They sniff and lick each other, but she still bats him in the face (no claws) when she wants to play. He chases them around the house and I do think they all enjoy it! Chaz loves to antagonize Dewey...love it! Both cats are very comfortable now, makes me happy. Chaz has done a 360...he is such a lap cat (recently), so affectionate. He follows us around like a dog, loves my son Joncarlos. He likes to always be around people, as Camille does too, both very friendly to anyone who visits. So... They're hilarious together. She's still slightly annoyed by him, since he always interrupts her "look at me, I'm so pretty" poses by sitting on her face and stealing her favorite mouse. But I caught her grooming him a few times, and Brian has caught them cuddling together. We have also started calling him Pillsbury, because every time we touch him he makes a noise. Hahaha...he's seriously hilarious. He doesn't meow, but he's very vocal. We also call him Sir Poopsalot, for obvious reasons. And what a lover. He's such a sweetheart. I just wanted to give you and update on Louie and let you know that he is doing very, very well. He is such a mush and soooo a daddy's boy! His favorite place in the house is wherever Joe is...sleeps with him, reads with him, follows him, and tries to steal his food! :) We adore him and he is so bright - he even answers to his name and will come when called. He has such a social, curious personality and loves to talk. I just wanted to let you know that Noelle is doing
great. She's just a love. Just looking at that
sweet little face turns me to mush. She's made
herself quite at home here. It amazes me just how
much she wants food. Such a small cat and such a
big appetite! She's grown a bit since we got her.
Her body is looking longer. We weighed her the
other day and she's 4 lbs. She was 3 1/5 lbs. when
we got her. She's just a real sweetheart and we're
so happy to have her. Thank you again for giving
her such a loving start!

First night was fine. She woke me up at 1am meowing, but once I showed her she could sleep in the bed with me she was fine. She has won my boyfriend over, which is great because it has taken me nearly 2 years to convince him that cats are not evil and we could all live well in one household. I wanted to say hello and what a amazing cat Chez (aka Chet) turned out to be for our family! We are sooooo in love. We did some research on his breed seems to be Chez is a Maine Coon the "Gentle Giant" of the cat world. He is a totally different cat from our momma Chloe but the make a great pair. Almost seems like he is a little boy just like my sons and just wants to be loved and play. Yes, I did rename Adam. His name is Jubilee but we've
been calling him Jubi. His little ears perk up when he

meet our girl cat, Skinny, and it went well! They are
still getting used to each other but Skinny seems to be

precious, I adore him. He is sleeping right next to me.

Here is a picture of Sebastian. We have renamed him Mr. Meowgi. My boyfriend in Florida has two cats Mia and Mishi. He has been very affectionate but will not eat out of anyone’s hand-even tuna or salmon. I am interested in knowing more of his background. He has stayed on the bed with me twice but gets fidgety and jumps off. He is a very good cat and hasn’t clawed, chewed or jumped up on things-except the bed once when he was invited!
