Hi all!
I was just talking with a volunteer at a shelter out-of-state, and thought, again, how appreciative I am with the work that you do at Friends of Linden Shelter.

We adopted a shepard/collie/hound mix from you in 2000, and are about to have our 6-yr anniversary with her.  We took her nearly directly from the pound by you, and were able to take her a few days later.  You all called her "Lambchop," but we now call her Torre.

She was so terrified in the pound with all the other dogs barking, and she was just leaning up against the chainlink in her pen looking so sad.  She had been abused and abandoned and was found in the streets in a cold November.

When she first came to us, she was afraid of everything (woke from a sound sleep and jumped across the room if we came near her), and she had an unhealthy coat, and was 20 lbs underweight.  She had terrible separation anxiety, also , and did some damage to the house before we all got settled in together...

We are proud to say (though we should have emailed you much earlier!!!) that she has come all the way back (only has flashback moments now and again that make her flinch, but she knows we've never hit her), and is now happy, loving, and in great health for a 7- or 8- yr-old...

I just wanted to attach a picture of her; I thought you might like to know how your former "residents" are doing :)

Thank you and keep up the good work!!

Sincerely,

Joyce
