I just wanted to say hi and give you a little update on Baron...He is doing exceptionally well and has become such a little sweetheart! He is still learning to trust other people, but is making great progress. So far he has been to Boston numerous times and has also traveled with us to Florida a couple of times and was great on the airplane! He has filled out and is such a healthy little guy... He loves to eat!!! However, he is not a big fan of the cold weather, but I make sure to dress him as warm as possible...see photo below of Baron getting ready for the snow.

He is learning to play at the dogrun and has become a little favorite in my building! My cats are doing well with him also...except my one little spoiled cat isn't such a big fan of his, but I think they have an understanding of each other and stay away from one another. They try to act tough, but I do see them every now and then going in for a little sniff and checking one another out...I'm sure one day they will eventually break down and just be friends!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks again for finding this little guy...I absolutely adore him!! Maybe one day I'll have room for one more! Hope all is well!

Baron is doing really well! So far he has definitely gained some weight and has filled out...now we have to make sure he doesn't get too fat!! He loves to go on long walks, although by the end he just wants to be carried!! He probably has as much clothes as I do now...and he loves getting dressed for the day!! He has learned so much with us and our time and efforts have really paid off. He has become such a sweet, loving and playful little dog. He is always with us and spends every minute he can on my lap! But, he still does love his little crate. Every now and then he will get "cranky" but quickly bows down and will roll on his back when he knows he is "bad".

As far as the cats...Rudi who was terrified and hiding under the bed (he was the one who scratched my husband the 1st night) is now sniffing Baron and is curious. He pretty much acts as if Baron isn't even there anymore. The only time he gets a little scared is if Baron barks, but they are totally fine together now! Vanessa is such a sweetheart and tries to play with Baron more now, they eventually will figure it out. She is not phased by him at all! But, Webster on the other hand (my very spoiled cat) is still having an issue with him. It seems it is more so when Baron encroaches on "his" territory! Webster will hiss every now and then and run after Baron, but we have learned to let the two of them play it out...because in the end nothing ever happens. On the other hand, plenty of times they have been on the couch right next to each other and have been totally peaceful! I think Baron is still trying to figure out his place here with the cats...when he is not on one of our laps, he paces and doesn't know what to do...but it is getting better each day.

On a good note, we brought him to the Vet and he was as sweet as pie! He clung to me and let the Vet do whatever he wanted. It just makes me so happy not knowing what he might have come from, to see his progress every day. He really is a sweet dog on the inside. He still has a little ways to go, but has responded really well with time and all the training we have done! As a matter of fact, the Super in my Bldg. loves him and I think would love to keep him!! But, he's not going anywhere!!!

Oh, and not one accident! This little boy has a bladder of steel!!!

Any new updates on adoptions?  I love to hear a good ending!  If you are ever in Manhattan and want to visit, just let me know!

Stacie and Baron!
